Veteran Pantry
Our pantry relies on the generosity of corporate and individual monetary and food donations to operate. We distribute items such as cereal, pasta, vegetables (both fresh and canned), soups, meats, fruits (fresh and canned), and dairy products. Personal care items for men and women, such as razors, deodorant, shampoo, and conditioner, are also available. We also accept household items such as laundry soap, dish detergent, kleenex, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Call (319) 826-2010 if you’d like to make a monetary or food donation, and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to see a list of current items we need. We also have an Amazon wish list if you prefer to shop from the comfort of your own home. Amazon wish list items can be directly shipped to our office.

Our food pantry is open 4 days each week. Veterans can access the pantry twice a month and receive personal care items once a month.
Weekly Lunches
FREE weekly lunch every Thursday from 11:45am-12:15pm
(unless closed for a holiday).
Recreation Activities
- The Pool Tournament is on the third Saturday of each month (unless closed for a holiday), be here by 8:15 am. The pool tournament starts promptly at 8:30 am.
- Hi-Low Card Group every Saturday morning starting at 8:00am (unless closed for a holiday).
- There are also plenty of other activities including board games, shuffleboard and outdoors games.
Emergency Financial Assistance
Need assistance with housing, utilities or gas money? We are here to help veteran’s short term needs to help get them back on their feet.
Resource Center
We work with a variety of agencies to help provide veterans with work assistance, housing and medical assistance.
